HISTORIC HOPE SCHOOL
Located in the front of Queen Anne's County High School is the One Room School House known as "Hope School." Built in 1892, it was used to educate African American children grades 1 through 7 until 1931. Restored by the Carpentry class at Queen Anne's County High School in the early 2000's, it was relocated to its present site. The Retired Educators will open the school on the first Saturday of the month May through October, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for citizens to tour the school.
